We put a lot of thought and planning into our STANDARD TOURS and we think they are pretty wonderful but we know that no one, two or three itineraries will fit all time frames or interests. So, if you have a group of 5-12 we can create a custom tour just for you.Pick a theme, pick an interest, pick a few different items and we will weave them into a Kitsap Tours Adventure for you and your group. Here are a few ideas to get you started:Ferries: Enjoy a scenic ferry ride across Puget Sound and we will pick you up at one of the following:
Breweries: A full day of touring NW micro breweries and brew pubs or visit just one or two as part of a tour. Wineries: A full day of touring vineyards and wineries or add a winery tour or tasting room stop to your tour. Organic Distillery: A great add-on to any adult tour! Communities: We can focus an entire tour around one or two of our eclectice collection of communities: Bainbridge Island, Hansville, Kingston, Port Gamble, Poulsbo, Silverdale, Bremerton, Port Orchard, Gig Harbor, Belfair, Seabeck, Port Townsend . . . Agricultural: Visit an Alpaca farm and shop, organic chicken farm to learn what makes the eggs so different from what you buy in stores, learn to harvest and shuck oysters, pick your own blue berries, visit a creamery, spend time at a small family sustainable farm. Culinary: Some of the above but gather ingredients, lunch at a restaurant specializing in fresh and local and if you like, add a cooking lesson using your ingredients and a gourmet meal. Birding: We can tour some of the birding hot spots and help you identify our local birds. Children: Kids Discovery Museum, Marine Science Center, one of the largest private collections of shells, a beach walk with beach naturalists, the world’s largest collection of licorice, farm visits and petting animals. We can keep the kids engaged and entertained! On the water: Kayaking, an electric boat tour or 45 ft tour boat will get you on the water for a closer look at wildlife and a new view of the world. Appropriate for all ages and abilities. Military: Puget Sound Navy Museum, Naval Undersea Museum, USS Turner Joy – a Viet Nam era destroyer. Beaches: Beach walk with a beach naturalist to help identify all of our amazing critters and plan to see other wildlife along the way, especially birds. Hike to a beautiful beach and enjoy a gourmet lunch while enjoying spectacular scenery. Watchable wildlife: Harbor seals in Poulsbo, Bald Eagles at Point No Point or Big Beef Creek, migrating waterfowl, birding at a variety of locations. History & Heritage: Native Americans, Croatians, Scandinavians, Japanese, Filipinos and others have left their mark on our area. We have many history museums and sites that help tell the story of Kitsap. Native American: The Suquamish, Port Gamble S'Klallam and Skokomish tribes are on Kitsap and have been for up to 13,000 years. There are two Native American museums, native arts, Chief Seattle's gravesite and other sites to include in a tour. Quilting & Fibers: We have several great quilt shops and some wonderful fiber shops just waiting for quilters, knitters and others to explore. Gardens: Starting with the Bloedel Reserve, a world renowned estate garden and adding in elegant individual gardens or nurseries or a sustainable farm/garden, we can create a full day of inspiration! Arts – Visual: Kitsap is known for the many artists that take their inspiration from our area and create magic of their own. We can visit a variety of private artist’s studios, galleries or arrange a buying tour to buy direct from the artist. Arts – Performing: Concerts on the water are popular in most communities. Local theatre abounds. We can build your tour to allow time to sit back and enjoy some live entertainment. Restaurants: Where to begin – just tell us your taste and we’ll work in a meal at a restaurant you’ll love. We tend to lean toward the fresh and local and can make recommendations. Scenic: Scenic is hard to avoid and will be part of every tour - water and mountains at every turn along with lush vegitation makes this one of the most scenic places to visit. We can do Hood Canal Loop tours and visit high visitas, go to Hurricane Ridge on the Olympic Peninsula or visit the lighthouse on the far north tip of the Kitsap Peninsula and gaze out over the water and marine traffic.
